The Maiden track team took fifth place with 77 points in the home meet on March 9.

In the 100-meter dash, junior Caanon Gibbons took fourth with a time of 14.22 seconds.

In the 200-meter dash, sophomore Havyn Perez took second in 28.61 seconds, while senior Brianna Armendariz took took fifth with a 29.81 second time.

In the 400-meter dash, sophomore Amanda Villalva was fifth with a 1:08.47 second time.

In the 800-meter run, sophomore Taylor McGehee took first in 2:38.73 seconds, while junior Sahian Arzate Jurado took fourth in 2:45.29 seconds.

In the 1600-meter run, McGehee took fourth in 6:04.62 seconds.

In the 100-meter hurdles, junior Logan Jaquez took first in 17.39 seconds.

In the 300-meter hurdles, Jaquez took second in 48.27 seconds.

The 1600-meter relay team of Villalva, sophomore Alexis Howard, Arzate Jurado and McGehee took fifth.

In long jump, Gibbons took sixth with a distance of 14 feet, 6 3/4 inches.

In triple jump, sophomore Chloe Gonzalez took first with a jump of 33 feet, 4 3/4 inches.

In discus, junior Jodie Vaughn took third with a distance of 82 feet, 9 inches, while junior Alyssa Wade took fourth with 80 feet, 6 1/2 inches.

The junior varsity Maidens took third overall with 74 points.
