The Indian football team took the area championship, 39-27, over Glen Rose on Nov. 21 in a perennial match up which finally went the Indians’ way after the Tigers had knocked them out of the playoffs the previous two years.
The Indians racked up 481 yards of offense in what was predominantly a rushing game.
Senior running back Caton Cramer led scoring with three touchdowns, while freshman running back Landen Guerra had two, and junior receiver Jaycen Robledo had a reception for a score.
Defensively, the Indians had 45 solo tackles, two sacks and two interceptions.
The Indians will face Brock in the region semifinal in San Angelo on Friday. Game time is 1 p.m., and Seminole will be the home team.
