Senior Melany Vazquez Campos and junior Addison Armstrong took semifinalist medals at the state tennis tournament on May 8 at the Annmarie Tennis Center in San Antonio.
The duo won in the round of 16 over Chloe Brandt and Summer Anderson of Bellville on May 7. They defeated Macy Miller and Bella Ward of Van in the quarterfinals. They fell to eventual state champions Lillian Carson and Kennedy Carson in the semifinals.
