Freshman Maidens end season with win over Pecos

Strategy session– Coach Coleman Gant talks to his players during a huddle in district play against Pecos on Feb. 10. The Maidens outscored the Lady Eagles by 41 points for the win.

The freshman Maiden basketball team took its final win, 61-20, over Pecos in the last district game on Feb. 10.

The Maidens finished the season with an 18-3 overall record and a 10-0 district record.

“The girls played great. They work well together,” Coach Coleman Gant said. “We overcame adversity when we needed to and they deserve everything they worked for.”
