9th Maidens 4-0 in district

The freshman Maiden basketball team will take on Pecos tonight after defeating Andrews, 51-13 on Jan. 20.
The Maidens are 4-0 in district and 12-3 overall.
“The girls have great teamwork,” Coach Coleman Gant said. “They are very coachable and show great confidence. Katie Spradlin and Jodie Vaughn together are a great combo because they work off of each other.”
The Maidens play the Lady Eagles at 7:30 p.m.
“Pecos is expected to get second in district,” freshman Courtney Blair said, “but that just means there is a spot for first.”
