The one-act play production of Paganini took the district championship on March 5, advancing to bi-district at Canyon West Plains High School on March 31.
Best actor went to senior Nehemiah McCoy who plays four parts in the play. Senior Kobe Cabello took all-star cast for his dual portrayal, while sophomore Ania Morales was honorable mention cast as four characters.
The technical crew of senior Diana Reimer, junior Cooper Sales, sophomore Joe Rivera, junior Elijah Lapusan, senior Paityn Espinoza and junior Natasha Wieler took best overall with Reimer as best individual technician.
The one-act play earned 44 points toward the overall district academic championship. The rest of the academic events will compete on March 24 and April 1.
