Television Series: Percy Jackson and the Olympians–Season 2 (TV-PG-V)

If you are a fan of the Percy Jackson books and movies like me, then you have probably already watched season one of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, which came out in December 2023 on Disney. It is based on the book Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Thief by Rick Riordan.
The episodes of the show represent the chapters in the book which follows Percy Jackson played by Walker Scobell (The Adam Project and Secret Headquarters). P Jackson is a demigod and his dad is Poseidon, the Greek God of the Sea. He struggles with his past and his dad not being there for him. When he becomes a teen, Jackson learned the truth from his mom that he was a demigod and was in danger because the older the demigod is the more danger he faces.
Season one follows Jackson from Camp Half Blood where he learns combat skills, and he is mistakenly accused of stealing Zeus’s lightning bolt. This leads him on a series of adventures with Annabeth Chase played by Leah Jeffries (Beast and Empire) and Grover Underwood played by Aryan Simhadri (Freakier Friday, Wonder Park and The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run). These adventures lead the trio to Los Angeles and beyond.
Season two was released on Dec. 10 and follows the Sea of Monsters story line. I can’t wait to see more episodes which come out every Wednesday through Jan. 21. I love the casting, the acting and the plot of the episodes which are kind of like the books but don’t beat the classic movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lighting Thief that came out in 2010.
I rate the series a 5 out of 5, and I highly recommend it if you’re into action, fiction and fantasy. If you are a huge nerd into mythology like me, I will bet you will love this series. I am excited I am excited to watch the action, conflict and the plots of the episodes. I can’t wait to see what happens with a kidnapping, a rebellion and and attack by pigeon crow. I hope Annabeth and Percy can save Camp Half Blood and also save Grover.
Even better, season three of the series is already in production and set to release in late 2026 or early 2027.
