Making Christmas– SkilsUSA junior Jesus Martinez Vizcarra and senior Geovanny Arroyo work on refurbishing a bicycle during eighth period auto tech class. The chapter hopes to give 40 families Christmas in conjunction with the “Give a Child a Smile” program.

SkillsUSA clubs are sponsoring a canned food drive from Dec. 4-13 to benefit needy families around Seminole.

All four classes will compete by bringing canned food to class sponsors’ rooms.

The food drive is part of the SkillsUSA “Give a Child a Smile” program in conjunction with the Optimist Club.

“We hope to provide food, clothing, toys, and bikes to 40 plus local families during the holiday season,” SkillsUSA sponsor Tom Spence said. “I know this is a super busy time of year, but I truly believe this project is worth the extra trouble.”
