Who I am as a person can be summed up by saying, I love to have fun. People who know me well will say that I am always looking for an opportunity to crack a joke or make a pun. This may come as a shock to some who don’t know me as well seeing that I can be closed off or “shy”, but when I get comfortable around someone, this side of me is more prevalent than ever.
I greatly enjoy playing football where I am positioned at right guard, and I have a deep love for choir and music. I have done both for four years and have enjoyed every last bit of it. In the past three years I have made it through the rigorous audition process to make it to the all-state choir but have fallen short at the final audition. Hopefully I can change that this year.
My strengths are caring for friends and loved ones, perseverance and trying to see the bright side. Some would say that my optimism could be a fault. Speaking of faults, I struggle with being outgoing and making my mind heard. I am a go-with-the-flow kind of person, and this can sometimes get in the way of my wants in situations.
This is my senior year of high school, and I hope to have fun all throughout it. I have gone outside of my norm by taking photojournalism, but I am excited to see what it has to offer. Although it’s not something I plan to pursue after this year, I am hoping it allows me to see certain situations a little differently and give me a different perspective.
I fear for what lies ahead after graduation, but I know that my parents and mentors have prepared me well for life after high school.
