Artificial intelligence, I believe, is beneficial to everyone. By using our resources, we make our lives much easier. By using AI, we can easily do jobs we don’t want or have the time to do, thus shortening our workload and, in turn, making us less stressed as individuals.
Although I believe it to be helpful, some people would argue that it’s detrimental. By generating art, it can take away jobs from actual artists who spent their whole lives perfecting their skills. It may also take jobs away from people who come up with assignments and could be taking away the human part of so many things.
AI is not perfect–currently it can make mistakes and give false information. AI can also be biased, so if someone enters information that is heavily biased, the writing that results will also be biased.
Although it may remove some of the human characteristics of writing and art, is that such a bad thing? Humans are also flawed and make mistakes, and their writing is more often biased than not. I think that artificial intelligence is not just a program, but also a tool that we can all use in our everyday lives.
Right now as artificial intelligence is in its early stages, it still makes lots of mistakes and has its issues. As time goes on, AI will only improve, and these issues will become worse. Eventually, it may become impossible to tell if AI or a human wrote something.
There are so many pros of artificial intelligence, from shortening work loads to bringing new ideas into a classroom or work setting. There are lots of things it can be used to benefit us.
However, as with everything, with good there is bad. AI is used for cheating by students. It takes the human part of writing and artwork away from the creator. As we grow as a society and learn how to use AI to benefit us, I think we will see that it may become a good thing.
