Indians take out Mountan View in bi-district

The Indian basketball team awaits the winner of Levelland and Dalhart tonight in Canyon to see who its opponent in area will be this weekend.

The Indian basketball team defeated Clint Mountain View, 81-36, to take the bi-district title at Sul Ross University on Feb. 18.

Junior forward Jalen Brattain led all scoring with 24 points. Sophomore post Blake Hamblin had 11 points, while junior guard Brecken Swimmer and sophomore post Caden Cottrell each had nine. Both senior guard Jordan Matthews had seven, sophomore guard River Powers had six and sophomore guard Parker Freeman had five. Senior forward Anthony Moncayo had four, and both senior guard Jesus Perez Dominguez and sophomore guard Justyn Sales each had three.

Mountain View’s Carlos Acosta led the Lobos with 21 points.
