All tied up– Sophomore Cambri Addison watches as teammate sophomore Brogan Purser and a Cooper player get a jump ball call from the referee on Dec. 9. The JV Maidens fell to the Lady Pirates, 52-43.

The JV Maiden basketball team is currently playing in the LISD tournament hosted by the inner-city schools of Lubbock.

The Maidens are sitting at 2-6 overall coming off a 52-43 loss to Cooper on Dec. 9.

“Considering we only had four players during the fourth quarter due to fouls,” junior Jenny Gasca said, “I thought we did really well and overcame a lot of adversity.”
