Due to a low number of crossover into typically gender-specific courses at SHS, the counseling office is encouraging students to consider all the options when making course selections in the future as well as utilizing the career and technical student organizations available through FFA and SkillsUSA.
Membership in career and technology education student organizations operated, administered, or sponsored by Seminole High School and Seminole Independent School District are available to all students in the instructional program without regard to race, color,
national origin, sex or disability. Seminole High School and Seminole ISD do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex or disability in its student organizations.
Student policies and procedures for membership in CTE student
organizations operated, administered and sponsored by Seminole High School
and Seminole ISD follow state and national organization guidelines

Dierschke encourages students and their parents to access Career Cruising (www.careercruising.com) online to make more informed decisions. The website is available in both English and Spanish.
“Career and technology course selections are made by career exploration completed through interest inventory on career matchmaker in Career Cruising,” Dierschke said. “Students develop four-year plans in Career Cruising and can select courses on their choice sheets and then register for classes.”
