The hit series Stranger Things comes back with a second season, and it’s even stranger this time around.

Stranger Things is a science fiction horror series that streams on Netflix. It is rated for 14 years and older due to its frightening scenes and use of profanity. The series takes place during the 1980s in the quiet town of Hawkins, Indiana, where mysterious events begin to occur.

In the first season, a young boy vanishes, and the town investigates his disappearance. As the story continues in season two, everything seems normal in Hawkins until a large threat looms over the town and threatens to wipe out humanity.

The main characters of the show are Mike (played by Finn Wolfhard, Supernatural, foul-mouthed Richie Tozier in IT), Lucas (played by Caleb McLaughlin, Lion King Musical, The New Edition Story), Dustin (portrayed by Gaten Matarazzo, Priscilla, Les Miserables), and Eleven (portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown, Intruders, NCIS), a girl with unusual abilities. They each explore the town hoping to find answers. On the way, they discover a world of darkness and a powerful community hellbent on hiding the truth.

The show was created by the Duffer brothers, fraternal twins who previously worked on Wayward Pines and several other short films.

The show itself has won multiple awards, including best sound, design, and episodic drama. Millie Bobby Brown won Best Actor in the MTV Movie & TV Awards. The entire cast won Outstanding Performance by Ensemble in a Drama Series in the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

With an extraordinary cast and a groundbreaking storyline, Stranger Things is a fascinating series that will keep you guessing and begging for more. Although the first season is addictive, the second season is more engaging and is ready to turn your world upside down. It lives up to its potential and persuades viewers to keep a look out for future seasons. Check out both seasons on Netflix. I give it a 5 out of 5 stars.
