The speech team took fifth place at the Amarillo Tascosa meet on Feb. 4.

In duet acting, sophomores Dillon Gutierrez and Phiona Hiebert took fourth, seniors Nikki Loewen and Grace Hatley took fifth, while  junior Alex Gonzalez and senior Ashley Harder took sixth.

In poetry, P. Hiebert took first, and Hatley took third.

In humorous interpretation, senior Madeline Hiebert took third.

In humorous interpretation, M. Hiebert took second.

M. Hiebert was named outstanding interprer.

The team has amassed 20 state qualifications for Texas Forensics Association competition in Dallas in March.
