Two seniors qualified for Texas Music Education Association’s Small School All-State Band on Jan. 9 in Idalou.

Senior Katelin Reed got third chair on the trumpet, and senior Cassandra Schultz got second chair on the french horn. They will perform at the TMEA convention in San Antonio on Feb. 13.

“It was a great experience,” assistant band director Nathaneal Holmes said. “It was quite challenging, but we made it through.”
