Sara Fehr, Editor in Chief

Writing about myself seems to be both the easiest and hardest thing to do. Of course, I should know myself better than anyone else does, but it feels to me sometimes that writing about others and the things they do is so much easier. Maybe that’s why I have been a part of the SHS journalism staff for three years. Well, that and the fact that writing has always been one of my favorite things.

Having the ability to speak to people or being able to create pictures in their minds by using nothing but different variations of words is something I have always considered incredible. I love writing in any way that it comes, whether that be to vent my thoughts, write an essay with an interesting topic, or, of course, write for the yearbook and newspaper.

Throughout my high school experience, I feel like I have learned a lot about loving all things the way they come. God has blessed me with a wonderful family and some of the best friends that anyone could ever ask for. I thank Him every day for allowing me to smile a little brighter and hold my head a little higher.

People say that I laugh a lot, which is definitely not untrue. I believe that laughter and happiness are the best parts of people because without them, dreams aren’t as easily achieved. One of my many dreams is to show people that sometimes even a little bit of happiness can go such a long way. I am now a senior and feel unbelievably excited about the good things that are going on and can’t wait for all of the things that are going to happen as the year progresses.
