The Aqua Tribe competed in the first meet of the season in Monahans on Oct. 27.
In the women’s 200 medley relay, the team of freshman Sunny Woodward, junior Tori Phillips, junior Kourtney Kildow and junior Judy Thiessen took fourth, while the men’s team of sophomore Carlo Franco, junior Luke Hicks, senior Bryan Burleson and sophomore Danny Friesen took seventh.
In the women’s 200 freestyle, Phillips was eighth and sophomore Sierra Talamantes was 10th.
In the 100 backstroke, Phillips took fifth.
In the 200 individual medley, sophomore Arin Hindman was ninth.
In the 100 butterfly, Hindman was eighth.
In the women’s 50 freestyle, Thiessen was fourth, while Franco took third in the men’s division.
In the women’s 100 freestyle, Thiessen was third and Kildow was eighth, while Franco was second in the men’s division.
In the 100 breastroke, Kildow was fifth.
In the women’s 500 freestyle, Talamantes was eighth, while Burleson was eighth in the men’s division.
In the 200 freestyle relay, the team of Hindman, Kildow, Woodward and Thiessen took third, the team of Phillips, freshman Kenzie Ivins, Talamantes and freshman Madi Werner was eighth, while the team of Burleson, Franco, Friesen and freshman Antonio Porras took fifth and the team of Hicks, freshman Jonah Rempel, sophomore Lonny Friesen and freshman Wade Mayes took ninth in the men’s division.
In the 400 freestyle relay, the team of Talamantes, Hindman, Ivins and Werner took fifth, while the team of freshman Emily Medrano, senior Araceli Juarez, junior Nancy Bergen and freshman Melissa Ramos took sixth.
The team will see its next action on Nov. 10 in Pecos.
