In women’s singles, junior Araceli Avila fell to Kaley Kevil, 6-0, 6-2. Junior Graciela Segovia fell to Terra Benton, 6-0, 6-3. Junior Alicia Villarreal defeated Symphony Munoz, 6-4, 6-3. Sophomore Aubry Owen defeated Brooklyn Ryan, 6-2, 6-0. Freshman Judy Klassen defeated Alisha Zamora, 6-2, 6-1. Sophomore Isela Zamora fell to Marissa Mireles, 6-1, 6-0.
In women’s doubles, Villarreal and Owens fell to Brownfield’s Kevil and Benton, 8-1. Avila and Segovia fell to Brownfield’s Ryan and Zamora, 9-8 (7-5). Klassen and Zamora fell to Brownfield’s Munoz and Mireles, 8-5.
In men’s doubles, sophomore Easton Swinnea and freshman Jonathon Klassen fell to Austin Marlow and Treg Lindsey, 9-8 (8-6), then fell to Matt Garza and Phil Burris, 8-5. Swinnea and Klassen then defeated Brownfield’s Jeremy Castillo and Kris Salazar, 8-6.
