Coach Mitch Shain has faith in his Maiden golfers and thinks they’re in a good place at this time.
“The women’s team is doing OK,” Shain said. “We have two returning letterman and two brand new to the game, so our team scores are a little high right now. They are working very hard at this point, and they will continue to get better. They are a very fun group of girls to work with.”
Junior Kayley Mull went to regionals last year and knows what to expect.
“I practice a lot in my spare time,” Mull said. “I concentrate on what I need to fix.”
Mull and senior Ashley Cox are the experience on the team.
“She [Mull] had a really good tournament at Snyder where she tied for second,” Shain said. “I also think Ashley will have a shot to qualify if she plays to her potential.”
