The Indian golf team continues to work toward a stronger finish for district.
“The men’s team continues to get better every week,” Coach Mitch Shain said. “We still have a long way to go to challenge for the district title, but they are improving.”
Currently veteran senior Josh Nichols is injured.
“It just gives some younger players a chance to step up and show what they are capable of doing,” Shain said. “Josh is one of our better players, but hopefully someone will fill his void. I hope Josh has speedy recovery and gets back out there with us.”
According to Shain, the Indians need to play like they practice.
“The most important thing for the boys to work on is taking what we do in practice and applying it to the tournaments,” Shain said. “Right now we are struggling with that.”
