The forensics team took sweepstakes at the Big Spring invitational on Oct. 29.
In duet acting, senior Brooklynn James and sophomore Jadon Hatley took second, senior Jasmine Torres and sophomore Dakota Crump took third, senior Angela Sims and junior Bryan Rickman took fifth, freshman John Paul Sales and sophomore Kaley Johnson took sixth and sophomores Alexis Hastings and Christian Tovar took seventh.
In cross-examination debate, senior Mason Griffin and junior Trey Dodson took the championship, and seniors Haylee Dodson and D.J. Rickman took second. Junior Zeth Henson was the outstanding CX speaker.
In poetry, Hatley was second, Crump was fourth, sophomore Bailey Hughes was fifth, and junior Jasmine Ruiz was sixth.
In prose, Griffin was first, freshman Erynn James was sixth and D.J. Rickman was seventh.
In foreign extemporaneous speaking, Haylee Dodson was seventh.
In domestic extemporaneous speaking, Haylee Dodson was first and took outstanding speaker.
In dramatic interpretation, Hatley was second, Griffin was fifth, Torres was fourth and Brooklynn James was sixth.
In humorous interpretation, sophomore Alexis Hastings, and Sims was sixth.
In original oratory, D.J. Rickman was fifth.
In impromptu speaking, Bryan Rickman was third.
Torres, Crump, Trey Dodson and Griffin qualified for Texas Forensic Association state competition in March.
