Two golf teams advance to regionals

The Indian A team and Maiden A team golfers advanced to regionals out of district on March 31 at Shadow Hills in Lubbock. The men will compete at Shadow Hills again for regionals on April 18-19, while the women will compete at Shadow Hills for regionals on April 20-21.

Senior Cason Johnson took the individual district championship, shooting 72 strokes the first day and 73 strokes the second day.

The Indian A team shot 614 strokes over the two-day tournament to take second behind Andrews’s A team.

The Maiden A team shot 653 strokes over the two-day tournament taking second behind Andrews’s A team.

Johnson and freshman Kilee Ivy were named all-district first team while senior Dane Wimmer was second team all-district.
