Maidens take bi-district title from San Elizario

The Maiden volleyball team defeated San Elizario, 25-20, 23-25, 25-16, 23-25,15-11, on Oct. 29 in Fort Stockton.

Senior outside hitter Robin Franklin led hitters with 19 kills, followed by junior outside hitter Xyla Madry. Senior setter Kamryn Cottrell had 41 assists in the new 5-1 offense the Maidens have run in the past few games. Junior libero Emily Alvarez led the Maidens with 30 digs, while junior middle blocker Avery Moore led with five blocks.

The Maidens will face Canyon isn area action at 6 p.m. Nov. 2 at Frenship High School in Wolfforth.
