Eleven Indian track athletes in nine events qualified for the area meet in Pecos on April 18.

The Indians took third with 100 points at the district meet in Andrews on April 3-4.

Individual results (top four qualify for area)

3,200-meters–sophomore Micah Smith-5th (11:356.5)

Shot put–junior Kaedyn Wade-5th (42 feet, 4 3/4 inches), junior Axel Lara–6th (40 feet, 8 1/2 inches)

Triple jump–senior Anthony Moncayo-1st (43 feet, 2 3/4 inches), sophomore Kaycen Andrews-2nd (41 feet, 6 1/4 inches), sophomore Sergio Soto-3rd (41 feet, 3 3/4 inches)

Pole vault–freshman Jude Edwards-2nd (10 feet, 6 inches)

Long jump–Soto-2nd (20 feet, 7 inches), sophomore Damien Espino-5th (19 feet, 9 1/2 inches)

400-meter relay–sophomore Jason Mejia, sophomore Makii Bates, Espino, Soto-3rd (44.02)

110-meter hurdles–freshman Andrew Banman-2nd (16.78), Edwards-4th (17.58)

100-meter dash–junior Bryce Lopez-3rd (11.71)

800-meter relay–Lopez , junior Dago Esquivel, Bates, Espino-4th (1:35.86)

400-meter dash–junior Jared Nye-5th (54.77)
