The Maidens will be the home volleyball team as they face District 1-4A’s runner up Dalhart (19-7 overall, 7-2 district) in the area round at 6 p.m. Nov. 8 at Plainview High School. Tickets are $4 for adults and $3 for students.

The Maidens (34-6 overall, 9-0 district) took the bi-district championship in three games over San Elizario on Nov. 4. The match took only an hour for the Maidens to defeat the Lady Eagles, 25-11, 25-8, 25-8.

Dalhart took its bi-district championship in three games over Sweetwater, 25-11, 25-19, 25-18, on Nov. 4 in Lubbock.

An area win for the Maidens could see them face either Fort Stockton or Big Spring in the region quarterfinal on Nov. 10 or 11.
