FFA begins CDE invitationals

Looking inside–Veterinary science team members, senior Kaylin Harper, sophomore Shaylee Wherley, senior Raylynn Riley and senior Ashlyn Hyatt compete in San Angelo last week.

FFA began competing in career development events last week.
The veterinary science, floral, landscape and land judging teams competed at Tarleton.
In land judging, sophomore Jase Warlick took 15th out of 296 competitors.
The veterinary science team took 46th in San Angelo, while the horse judging team was 42nd and the livestock judging team placed 25th. Senior Brook Archuleta took sixth as an individual on the livestock judging team.
The land judging team took 1th and the cotton judging team took 12th with senior Blayne Shook finishing as fifth individually.
At Texas Tech, the veterinary science team placed 20th, while the livestock judging team was 19th.
CDE teams will compete at West Texas A&M and Clarendon this week.
