15 vocalists earn right to try out for all-state choir

Fifteen vocalists advanced to the area choir on Dec. 4, earning the opportunity to try out for the all-state choir on Jan. 11.
Sopranos included junior Samantha Gutierrez as second chair, junior Lisa Klassen as fifth chair, junior Carrie Quiring as sixth chair, and junior Amber Wilkey eighth chair.
Altos included senior Hailey Blair as third chair, senior Jaicen Clark as fourth chair, sophomore Liz Pinon as fifth chair, sophomore Kataryna Felan in sixth chair, junior Robin Franklin as seventh chair and junior Jacqueline Peters as eighth chair.
Tenors included junior Moises Ybaben Burciaga as first chair, sophomore Cason Johnson as fifth chair and freshman Nathan Banman as seventh chair.
Basses included junior Kaillon Sawatsky as fourth chair and sophomore Noe Ybaben Burciaga as sixth chair.
