HOMECOMING 2017: Road home dominates come-back week activities

Blazing spirit– The homecoming bonfire took place on Sept. 21.

Floats, a fire, a queen and a win completed a homecoming week that competed with random drug testing, six weeks grades and an assembly, but students still made the week of the Big Come Back special.

All Roads Lead Home was the theme for locker decorating, parade floats, spirit days and pep rally.

At the parade on Sept. 21, the senior float which was a barbecue theme, complete with working barbecue, took first place among the classes. The sophomore float with a carnival and rodeo theme took second. Among the football team floats, the varsity Indian float took first with its “Barbecue the Wildcats” theme, while the fourth grade YFL float took second.

Senior Alyssa Wade was crowned homecoming queen at halftime of the 56-0 rout of the River Road Wildcats on Sept. 22.
