The new fall line up is out and I chose Manifest, a supernatural mystery series on NBC. the series centers around the passengers of a plane that mysteriously disappears during take off. Five years later, it reappears after everyone on board is presumed dead. Upon its return, the passengers possess supernatural abilities.

Manifest stars Melissa Roxburgh of Star Trek Beyond, Josh Dallas of Once Upon a Time and Athena Karkanis of Wild Kratts.

The show was created by Jeff Rake, an executive producer of Chasmere Mafia and The Mysteries of Laura. Rake drew inspiration from the critically-acclaimed series Lost and wants dto create a show using similarities to those in the NBC hit This Is Us.

Despite the pilot episode’s slow pace and forced drama Manifest remains compelling with good acting and and intriguing premise. I’d give it ♦♦♦◊◊ (a 3 on a 5 scales). If you missed the premiere, catch it on NBC.com or the NBC app.
