15 musicians make all-region band

Fifteen musicians were selected to the all-region band with two as alternates.

All-region band members– Fifteen musicians were selected to the all-region band with two as alternates.

Fifteen musicians qualified for the all-region band on Dec. 9. Fourteen of those qualified for the area audition. The students will perform in the small school all-region band on Jan. 27 in the Lubbock Civic Center.

All region and area qualifiers included freshman Paulina Morales Mendoza as 9th chair flute, junior Alé Macias Morales as 10th chair flute, senior Celestia Wilkey as fifth chair clarinet, freshman Whitlee Tate as 14th chair clarinet, freshman Kaylee Garcia as 16th chair clarinet, freshman Marcela Guevara as 18th chair clarinet, junior Melissa Moore as 19th chair clarinet, freshman Itzel Quinonez as seventh chair alto saxophone, freshman Royal Carnes as sixth chair trumpet, sophomore Zachary Guenther as 11th chair trombone, junior Aaron Edwards as 13th chair trombone, 10th grade Kolten Sinclair as second chair euphonium, sophomore Anthony Wilson as fifth chair tuba, and freshman Ember Webb as third chair percussion.

Junior Kaitlin Harrison also made the all region band as fifth chair bass clarinet.

Alternates to all region included junior Abigail Avitia  Lopez as second alternate alto saxophone and senior Jessica Callaway as first alternate tenor saxophone.
