FFA takes state third in leadership contest
Area champs– The FFA senior quiz team shows off its Area II first place banner that earned a berth in state competiton. The team of seniors Taylor Carter, Payton Carter, junior Zoee Nolen and senior Delaney Brown took third at state on Dec. 4.
The FFA senior quiz team took third place at the state leadership development event championships on Dec. 4.
The team of junior Zoee Nolen, seniors Taylor Carter, Payton Carter and Delaney Brown finished with 266 points, just five points from first place. Nolen was sixth, while Brown was 10th.
The event was held virtually from each school’s home campus due to Covid-19 restrictions.
The senior skills team of senior Dawson Combs, sophomore Brooke Archuleta, senior Kasey Long and junior Breanne Davison took 10th at the state meet.
