The Maiden golf team shot 655 strokes, one behind second place Glen Rose, as they became the third place state qualifying team at the region golf tournament at Shadow Hills in Lubbock on April 15.
Individually, senior Kilee Ivy was 10th shooting 156 strokes over two rounds. Junior Karoline Franco was 12th (159 strokes), junior Presley Roberts was 19th (168 strokes), senior Chloe Doerksen was 25th, (173 strokes), and junior Sofia Harms Heide was 29th (174 strokes).
The Maidens will compete in the state meet in Kingsland on April 28-29.
