The Los Angeles Dodgers won the World Series of baseball in five games on Oct. 30 when they faced the New York Yankees. The Yankees have some dangerous weapons, but despite all of that, the Dodgers came out on top.
This is the Dodgers eighth title in franchise history. Their last World Series victory was in 2020, which has been discredited because when they won in mid Covid-19, with no fans in the stands and players out with the virus.
The Dodgers World Series win this time was redemption. It showed the world that they can win.
The Dodgers’ first baseman Freddie Freeman made history after he hit the first ever walk-off grand slam in World Series history. He also hit the most home runs in any World Series game with six consecutive home runs. Freeman won the MVP of the World Series after his historic performance.
Freeman wasn’t the only stand out. Outfielder Enrique (Kiké) Hernández hit great over the series with a sensational double in game five.
This was my favorite player, designated hitter Shohei Ohtani’s first World Series win in his career. He helped prove to everyone that the Dodgers are good enough to win a World Series.
While the Yankees lost, they still had a lot to show for it like they might be one of the best teams of this decade. They haven’t won a World Series since 2018, but they are an elite team which could put Araon Judge in a new level and Giancarlos Stanton in the Hall Of Fame.
This series was filled with amazing plays.
Game One: Kiké hit a sensational triple which he would score on the next at-bat, then Ohtani hit a ball off the wall for a triple and then scored the next at-bat.
Game Two: Outfielder Tommy Edman went deep to left field. Outfielder Juan Soto went deep for the Dodgers to tie it. Outfielder Teoscer Hernandez went deep to center. Freeman went deep to center field.
The Dodgers’ consistency helped them dominate and led them to victory in Game Five. I really wanted the Dodgers to win because my favorite player is on the Dodgers This was his first play-off series, and I wanted Ohtani to win to prove that he is the best player in all of baseball right now–maybe ever.
Ohtani was the best player this season. He made it into the 30/30 Club and 40/40 Club. He created the 50/50 Club. He is a candidate for the regular season MVP, and now he is a World Series Champion.
All in all, it doesn’t get better than your favorite player dominating a baseball season and winning it all.
