Maidens move to quarterfinal round

The Maiden basketball team will face Canyon in the region quarterfinals on Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at Lubbock Christian University.

The Maidens defeated Clint Mountain View, 77-38, to take the area championship on Feb. 16 in Van Horn.

Junior guard Londyn Shain led scoring with 28 points, while  senior forward Tatum Medlin had 16 and freshman forward Glenda Klassen had nine.

Klassen led in rebounding with 10 and assists with five.
