Aqua Tribe competes in Monahans

The Aqua Tribe Maidens took third with 198 points and the Indians took seventh with 36 points at the Monacans meet on Oct. 31.

In the women’s 200-yard medley relay, the team of sophomore Ashley James, junior Grecia Hermosillo Ortiz, senior Madi Werner and junior Faith Klassen took fourth (2:26.43).

In women’s 200-yard freestyle, Klassen was 8th (2:30.60).

In women’s 50-yard freestyle, Werner was first (27.55), Hermosillo Ortiz was fourth (30.48), Klassen was fifth (31.13).

In men’s 50-yard freestyle, junior Steven Weeks was fifth (26.52).

In women’s 100-yard butterfly, Werner was first (1:07.84).

In women’s 100-yard freestyle, sophomore Paige Perryman was fourth (1:10.01).

In men’s 100-yard freestyle, senior Kenneth Hawkins was ninth (1:05.66).

In women’s 500-yard freestyle, senior Kenzie Ivins was fifth (7:18.18), and junior Lena Martens was sixth (7:18.25).

In men’s 500-yard freestyle, Weeks was fourth (6:18.51).

In women’s 200-yard freestyle relay, the team of Werner, Klassen, Hermosillo Ortiz and Ivins took first (1:58.23).

In women’s 100-yard breastroke, Hermosillo Ortiz took fourth (1:33.59).

In women’s 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of sophomore Anna Teichroeb, Martens, Perryman and Ivins took fifth (4:59.11), and the team of junior Hannah Patterson, sophomore Yesina Marchan, James and junior Regina Froese took ninth (5:46.03).

In men’s 400-yard freestyle relay, the team of freshman Tristin Williams, Hawkins, freshman Ethan Doubrava and Weeks took ninth (4:38.33).
