Golfer qualifies for state as medalist at region meet

Junior Luke Wimmer, who was the lone regional qualifier for the Indian team, shot a combined two round 146 strokes to qualify as third medalist to the state meet. Wimmer shot a 76 in the first round, but cut it to 70 strokes in the second round.

Wimmer will compete at state on April 27-28 at the Onion Creek Golf Club in Austin.
