Digital cameras have become popular in school as a new way to take photos during the day. I tested out four different types of digital cameras to see which one had the best quality and was worth the price.
The first one I tested was an UP-Tech mini digital camera. The cost was $15. You can order this camera online or buy it at places like Five Below. The camera takes about one and a half hours to fully charge. It took me awhile to figure out all the functions on the camera. It was easy to upload photos from the camera, but the picture quality was less than ideal. You could tell what was happening in the photos, but it was blurry.
The second one I tried out was a Sony Cybershot. This camera costs around $150-180. The camera was easy to figure out. All the buttons are clearly labeled, so I didn’t have to guess what anything was.
Unlike the UP-Tech camera, this one allowed me to zoom in and out. The picture quality was very good; it remained clear even when I zoomed far in or out. The one I tested was over 10 years old and still functioned like it was new.
Next I tried out a Canon Power Shot. The one I tried was a used one which usually go for around $350, while the new ones go for around $850. While this one had remarkable picture quality, the Sony Cyber Shot’s quality was a close second and for the drastic price change one would be better off buying the Sony.
Next I tried an old Nikon camera. I had one of the big ones which go for around $1,100 while the smaller models go for around $300. This one was very similar to the Sony camera and the Canon camera in functions, but didn’t in as good of condition over time.
Overall, I would say the Sony Cyber Shot was the best camera out of the four. It is definitely worth the price because it had good picture quality and remained in a good condition even after a long period of time.
