SkillsUSA will host a car show tomorrow from 9 a.m. until noon in the front parking lot.
“We are fund raising for our chapter’s community service,” SkillsUSA sponsor Tom Spence said. “Last year we had 20 cars in the fall and 50 in the spring.”
Last year’s show included entries like a Porshe and three late 60’s Chevelles.
“It’s cool seeing all the different masterpieces and how they modified them,” SkillsUSA sophomore Brandon Nosek said. “We decided to include motorcycles this year because people brought motorcycles last year.”
It cost $20 a vehicle to enter.
“It will be more successful this year,” Nosek said. “We are slowly getting more people.”
Proceeds from the car show will go toward the chapter’s Packages of Hope community service project. The project buys blankets, socks and hats to be donated to cancer patients.
