Speech competes in San Angelo

In Lincoln-Douglas debate, junior Nat Little was first.
In impromptu speaking, senior Carter Laramore took first and senior Isabel Acosta took second.
In dramatic interpretation, junior Dillon Gutierrez took first, Laramore took second, junior Phiona Hiebert was third, freshman Lauren Elder was fifth and Acosta took sixth.
In duo acting, Acosta and Hiebert took first. Laramore and Gutierrez took fourth, and juniors Adriane Tarin and Alex Cuevas were fifth.
In foreign extemporaneous debating, Laramore took third.
In domestic extemporaneous speaking, junior Carlye Winfrey took first, sophomore Jaicen Clark took third, sophomore Lisa Loewen took fourth and freshman Caleb Alexander was fifth.
In poetry, Acosta took first, sophomore Madison Dyck took fourth, junior Grace Emig took seventh and freshman Reese Cooper took eighth.
In prose, Acosta took third, Gutierrez took fifth and Emig took sixth.
In humorous interpretation, Laramore took first, Acosta took second, junior Jesus Bustamante took fourth, sophomore Bryce Lopez took fifth and Gutierrez took sixth.
In a new event, program of oral interpretation, freshman Lauren Elder took fourth, and Hiebert took second.
