Publications take 56 awards in state competition
TOPS IN TEXAS– Junior Katie Spradlin, publications sports editor, took a Tops in Texas award on April 22 for online sports feature story. Her story on junior Reese Moore’s college recruiting beat out all other sports feature stories from middle school through 6A in the state.
The publications staffs took 56 individual awards in statewide competition at the Interscholastic League Press Conference on April 22-23.
Junior Katie Spradlin was awarded a Tops in Texas in online sports feature writing for her story on junior Reese Moore’s recruitment by the NCAA. Spradlin’s story first took an Individual Achievement Award first place in 4A and was then judged against all other first places from middle school through 6A.
