Food drive falls short of campus-wide goal
The amount of cans brought in by the high school dropped significantly since last year’s drive. The amount has dwindled going over 5,500 to 2,372 cans.
“It is a little bit of a disappointment because we did not get as many cans as last year,” student council sponsor Dodie Boyd said. “I would have liked to have seen more cans come in.”
Other campuses are still collecting cans so the results for filling the bus are still unknown.
The three winners of the canned food raffle were sophomore Alyssa Carnes and seniors Elizeth Villa and Raquel Rivera. They eached received a $50 gift card.
