Festival to benefit local mission
With Thanksgiving only a few days away and an autumn chill in the air, the NHS Fall Festival will once again be held in the upper gym on Nov. 26.
The festival will start at 11:30 a.m. and continue through the lunch hour. Tickets will be sold at the event for 25 cents each.
Last year, over $1,000 was raised for the Veteran’s Memorial. The money raised this year will go to the local Bob Lewis Mission.
“We were trying to keep it local,” NHS sponsor Katie Ray said. “We wanted to benefit our community.”
A variety of booth options will be available including but not limited to an Elvis marriage booth, a caramel apple booth and a pie-throwing booth.
“We decided to do the Fall Festival again this year because it was a success last year, and we raised a lot of money,” senior NHS President Sarah Patterson said. “Students enjoyed it, and I think it’s a great start to Thanksgiving break.”
