Two artists qualify for state competitiion

Two art students qualified for state competition in the UIL’s Visual Arts Scholastic Event at Frenship High school on Feb. 22. Junior Amanda Peters and senior Morgan Guffey will compete on the state level on April 4-5 at Bryan High School in Bryan.
VASE was developed by the Texas Art Education Association in 1980 along with the UIL. Students create their own unique and individual artwork, and then go through an interview process before having it scored by an art juror.
