Whether it’s Christmas colors, red lipstick, pajamas or even a casual outfit, the holidays brought out the need for festive fashion.
For family events, holiday outfits ranged from the casual to dressy. Junior Dani Perez, for instance, chose a nice sweater and pants because she said she “liked to look nice and dress up.”
Sophomore Daniela Jimenez Aguirre was a bit more dressy.
“My go-to outfit is probably a leather skirt and a sweater with boots,” Jimenez Aguirre said. “It’s casual.”
If a student had a holiday party to go to, the outfit got more spirited.
“If I’m going to a party, I would wear a festive sweater and red lipstick,” Perez said.
Sophomore Carlos Brito Benavidez chose his M4 Ariat jeans with a shirt and red shoes for a holiday event or party, but Christmas morning was different.
“My Christmas morning outfit is my pajamas,” Brito Benavidez said. “I’m still half asleep.”
Reece wore what Santa brought the night before.
“My Christmas outfit in the morning is whatever Christmas pajamas we get on Christmas Eve,” freshman Dakota Reece said. “It’s a tradition.”
For Perez, the morning was casual but the afternoon required something dressier.
“I wear pajamas in the morning,” Perez said, “and around lunch time, I will start getting ready into a nice outfit and do my hair and make up.”
Whether it was new PJ’s, an ugly holiday sweater or a new dress, holiday attire made the season more festive.
