A pop star changed her name to it. Clothing designers based fashion shows around it. It is stereotypically a girly thing.
Pink is everywhere.
“I love the color pink,” junior Paula Lara Escribano said. “It’s a really happy color, and it’s so iconic.”
This iconic color is so popular that schools across the world turn it into a cancer awareness symbol.
“I like the color pink,” sophomore Xzairius Vasquez said. “It supports breast cancer.”
The color is also associated with pop icons.
“All the girls in the school are obsessed with pink.” Vasquez said. “They all like Taylor Swift.”
The color could become an obsession. For instance, senior Jeremiah Wolf has four sisters, and he said they are all obsessed with pink. Lara Escribano’s sister is similarly obsessed.
“My sister has always liked pink,” Lara Escribano said. “She painted her walls pink, and every time she can, she chooses pink.”
For freshman Cheyenne Carter, pink is a state of mind.
“I like the color so much because pink makes me happy,” Carter said. “It’s a bright color. The brighter the color, the happier you are. Pink is joyful. The color makes me happy every time I look at it.”
