The one-act play, The Unreturning, took top honors at district competition in Monahans on March 20, advancing to bi-district in Seminole on April 2.
District all-star cast included best performers senior Javen Gutierrez and Owen Adam, who play two of the pivotal roles in the story of three veterans returning after war in three different time periods. Senior Leah Martin, who portrays Rose, was also named all-star cast. Junior Nehemiah McCoy, who plays the third veteran, was named as honorable mention cast.
Technical awards went to junior Diana Reimer for outstanding tech. Outstanding tech crew went to sophomores Elijah Lapusan, Cooper Sales, junior Paityn Espinoza, Reimer and junior Kaitelynn Alonzo.
