Five band members will try out for the Texas Music Educators Association small school all-state band tomorrow at Levelland High School.
The five are currently members of the area band. They include sophomore Jaxon Hand who was 13th chair trombone in the honor band and fourth in 4A, sophomore Maddox Savage who was 10th in percussion in honor band and third in 4A, junior Julie Rezac was seventh chair flute in the honor band and second in 4A. In addition, sophomore Mikayla Bush was 12th chair baritone in honor band and third in 4A, while junior Aleigha McNair was 21st chair clarinet in honor band and fifth in 4A.
Also, sophomore Jorge Miranda was sixth chair alto saxophone in the honor band and fourth in 4A.
All six students will perform at the all-region band concert on Jan. 25 at the Lubbock Civic Center.
