Twenty-one vocalists qualified to try out for the Texas Music Educators Association All-State Choir after area choir try outs on Nov. 14. All-state try outs will be in January.
The top 8 students (from the top 14 at region) in each section (soprano, alto, tenor, bass) qualified by singing excerpts of the new music received after the first round of auditions in September. They also sight read an eight-bar exercise.
Sopranos: senior Jessica Giesbrecht–Chair 2; junior Margarita Maese Carbajal–Chair 5, sophomore Jazlynn Holmstrom–Chair 7.

Tenor: senior Jonathan Holt–Chair 1, senior Aidan Garza–Chair 2, sophomore Zaiden Bergen–Chair 3; junior Genavieve Neudorf–Chair 4, senior Aiden Garibay–Chair, freshman Isaiah Rempel–Chair 7, senior Landon Elder–Chair 8.
