The speech team took second place overall at the Midland Lee meet on Oct. 15.

In duet acting, senior Madeline Hiebert and junior Carter Laramore took first, sophomore Dillon Gutierrez and sophomore Phiona Hiebert took second, junior Isabel Acosta and senior Faith Klassen took third, senior Grace Hatley and senior Nikki Loewen took fourth, senior Gabe Royal and sophomore Amy Schultz took fifth.

In humorous interpretation, M. Hiebert was first, Acosta was second, Klassen was third.

In prose, Loewen was second, freshman Jesus Bustamante was sixth, freshman Reagan Lopez was seventh, Schultz took eighth.

In poetry, P. Hiebert took first, Klassen was sixth.

In duo, Loewen and M. Hiebert took first, senior Ashley Harder took second with Klassen

In dramatic interpretation, Loewen was first, M. Hiebert took third, P. Hiebert took fifth.

In cross-examination debate, junior Lori Wilson was third, sophomore Nat Little was sixth.

In impromptu speaking, sophomore Carlye Winfrey took first.

M. Hiebert took the award for top interpret with 91 points.
